Not keen on the ski circus or the snowboarding action? Here are our recommendations for all those of you who want to take things a little easier, and who prefer to enjoy the superb Kitzbühel winter landscape a little more "sedately":

Superb altitude hike on the safe winter hiking path, up to Berggasthof Hochbrunn which has lots of opportunities to stop off for a bite to eat; ascent via the Hahnenkammbahn; start at Restaurant Hochkitzbühel and a trip to the Mining Museum. Walking time approx. 3/4 hour; more information at the Hahnenkammbahn cash desk.

Fantastic panoramic view to the Kitzbühel Alps all the way to the Wilden Kaiser, Großglockner, Großvenediger etc. Ascent via the Hornbahn to the Mittelstation; from there either via the Gipfelbahn to the Gipfelhaus, or via Section 2 to the Alpenhaus. More information at the Hornbahn cash desk.
