NEW: The Karstweg on the Kitzbüheler Horn

Karstweg
A unique hiking route runs from Trattalmmulde along impressive natural viewing points, way back into the history of the earth. Discover these cave-like structures - from more than 450 million years ago - in the guise of impressive sink-holes (karst holes).
Karst hiking trail on the Kitzbüheler Horn

From Trattalmulde (10 mins. up the valley from Alpenhaus) a lovely 2.4 km path takes you to the unique karst realm in the Kitzbüheler Horn. You reach Egglhöhe via impressive viewing points. Weanerstadt, with its sink holes (cave-like structures), provides impressive glimpses into the history of the earth - in a time long before the dinosaurs. The Karst hiking trail is a circular route for anyone and takes 1 1/2 hours to 2 1/2 hours to investigate. Well-worth experiencing this natural phenomenon.
