The museum on the pioniering region for Alpine winter sport
The museum on the pioniering region for Alpine winter sport
Open daily from 10 a.m to 4 p.m . Every Friday night Cabel Car ride - it is also possible to visit the museum on Friday evening. Free admission!

In the cable car museum right at the Hahnenkamm mountain station you can find out some interesting and quaint facts about Kitzbühel’s history as a pioneering region for Alpine winter sport in general, and about the history of Bergbahn AG in particular.

The first ‘board’ turns on the Kitzbüheler Horn took place over 100 years ago. At that time the pioneering spirit, tenacity and visionary foresight of just a few people laid the foundations for Kitzbühel’s reputation as a world-class ski destination, and today’s modern ski tourism industry. An exciting voyage through the decades, brought to life using historic exhibits, photography and contemporary documents.

Particularly popular: the virtual ski simulator, on which you get to experience the spectacular Streif ski run at first hand!
