Snowpark Kitzbühel on Hanglalm

On the other side of the winter sports area you can do some really great snowboarding. Accessing the DC Area 43 Kitzbühel South is easy from Mittersill: simply head up the mountain with the Panoramabahn, take the connecting trail to the chairlift on the Hanglalmand hover over the park area right up to the top. From this bird's eye view you immediately notice the perfectly arranged individual lines and elements. Along with classic kicker-, and rail lines, which are tailored to suit all ability levels, a great wood park has also been set up which has up-down boxes, picnic tables and the obligatory tree jib.

And the news doesn't end there: this season there are plans for a new park area in the upper section of the Hanglalm. Here a variety of elements in the new beginner and medium lines should increase the park's allure', the upper and lower park areas will also be connected. Lots of pros and film crews have already raised a toast to the massive gap jump, built last season. If snow conditions permit, a permanent double kickerline will be made here, which will clearly lift it into the Pro category.

Away from the parks Freeriders and Backcountry fetishists are indulged thanks to the diverse terrain on offer. The extensive, easily accessible Kitzbühel Backcountry has, beginning with easy powder runs, more demanding terrain, right the way through to genuine big mountain riding - everything that gets a powder junkie's heart racing:

The Kitzbüheler Horn is an absolute must. There is everything here. From cliffs above gullies, concealed tree runs, and endless powder fields right the way through to countless kicker spots. Through Reintal, which is located on the Horn, you can access the best slopes which have countless variants and some cool cliff drops without much effort. The varied terrain around Bichelalm is always worth a visit. Even on the Hahnenkamm you get to try out some superb turns in the powder away from the pistes and you can really let off steam on the home-made kickers. Also worthy of mention is the Zweitausenderlift with its natural launch ramps and extensive terrain.
